This job is completely virtual so you can work from anywhere as long as you have a good internet connection. The Consultant will conduct 1 hour student loan consultations with clients provided to you by Student Loan Planner. This role may also be asked to complete various admin tasks as common for student loan consulting and financial planning related duties. Student Loan Planner is looking for a Consultant who understands student loans or has experience in financial topics or investments, and interested in investing, tax planning, and financial planning. We are also hoping to find someone who is willing and wanting to take on additional responsibilities with our sister company, SLP Wealth, in these areas in the future. Our target market is helping high-debt student loan borrowers, in professions such as medicine, law and education to reduce their student loan debt and become more financially stable. Responsibilities: Complete 60-minute consultation calls with clients to discuss their student loan situation and offer guidance as well as options. Answer follow up emails from clients. Each client has a period of 12 months that they can ask free questions to their consultant. Generally this is a modest amount of extra work compared to the initial consultation. Represent Student Loan Planner (the brand) in a public capacity. We prefer hiring consultants who are interested in blogging for the site, appearing in YouTube videos or podcast episodes, or who are comfortable being interviewed by the media. Attend regular consultant meetings to discuss student loan cases, company strategies, upcoming news, and the like. Follow student loan related news and have an intellectual curiosity for the student loan industry. Please share an example that details your interest in helping individuals manage their debt and build wealth. *Qualifications: A CFP, CFA, CPA, or CSLP credential is strongly preferred as well as at least 2 years of experience in a financial coaching or financial planning role. Ideal candidate will be willing to make a 2 year commitment to Student Loan Planner. Please share why you believe you would be qualified and what if any credentials you have. *Hours: Candidate will be available at least three (3) days, or more per week, to do student loan consulting work. Some consultants choose to make specific days available. Others choose to offer weekend or evening hours. We give flexibility to the consultant as long as you give us enough availability to make paying for fixed costs of employing you worth the expense. *Pay: Pay is a fixed rate per completed consultation with the option of adding on an hourly rate for other admin-related tasks.
